Welcome to FIFTY TWO

I‘m Adam, your host and Chef and I‘m excited to introduce our new immersive dining experience, where our bespoke open kitchen and garden take centre stage. FIFTY TWO has been designed to create a sense of food theatre and you are all invited!

What to expect

From the moment guests arrive they will be immersed in the Kitchen Garden which they can explore with a drink and snack before making their way through an espalier hornbeam hedge linking the Kitchen Garden to FIFTY TWO.

Here the evening continues; with a series of dishes starting with a selection of snacks, freshly-baked bread with accompaniments and an assortment of plates leading up to our signature sharing dish, followed by desserts and treats.

Food

Like a dinner party with friends, there’s no menu and you place your faith in the cooking skills of your host! At FIFTY TWO, we use the highest quality ingredients cultivated in our kitchen garden (as such we are in the hands of mother nature!) or selected from trusted local producers and purveyors.

Drink

To complement the food; we’ve carefully selected wines, freshly made juices and garden-inspired cocktails which are included on Friday and Saturdays and will also be available midweek.

Kitchen Garden

Our Kitchen Garden is quite literally a key ingredient of the FIFTY TWO dining experience. Under the guidance of Head Gardener Sarah Owen-Hughes; Kitchen Gardener Emma Pugh and her team grow over 500 different edible plants. Using organic and no-dig principles, the gardeners enrich the soil with a variety of organic matter so the crops are packed with nutrients giving the freshest seasonal flavours and textures on your plate.

Your Host

Fresh from my appearance on Great British Menu, I got married to Emily who has been looking after our little boy Jacob whilst I have been focusing on the creation of FIFTY TWO. Here you will experience dishes inspired by ingredients from our Kitchen Garden, prepared with creativity and passion. Previously, Head Chef at Horto Restaurant I was awarded 3 AA rosettes and throughout my career I have been privileged to work with multi-Michelin starred chefs including Tom Kerridge.

We want you to feel at home 

We’ll have aprons on hand for those who are keen to get involved, a pack of cards to spark the ‘art of conversation‘ and over pudding, we couldn‘t resist ‘dessert‘ island disc - the chance for you to select a track for the FIFTY TWO playlist.
